Pure Pharmacy is the first confirmed tenant to be announced at the Mission Professional Centre in Courtenay. Pure Pharmacy has six other stores on Vancouver Island. A  development permit was granted in March for the two four-storey buildings proposed to be constructed  on Mission Road, between Queneesh Elementary School and the Fortis BC building. Together, the two buildings will provide more than 58,000 square feet of space. Construction is expected to start in 2014, with occupancy scheduled for 2015. More tenants are expected to be confirmed soon.
The City of Campbell River has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the services of a qualified and multi-disciplined design team to complete a downtown conceptual design charrette to establish a conceptual and coordinated design program (Urban Design and Landscape Architecture & Design).
Bill Howich Chrysler Ltd. has received approval for a development permit to proceed with the an expansion and renovation to the inside and outside of the building. A building permit has not yet been issued. Once all approvals are in place, construction is expected to begin.
