Around Town: Cumberland Holds Affordable Housing Open House
The Village of Cumberland is holding an Affordable Housing Open House on Wednesday, September 21. The Village is developing concrete and feasible measures to implement affordable housing in Cumberland.
The Village of Cumberland is holding an Open House next Wednesday September 21st to discuss what the Village can do to support affordable housing in the community.
The open house will run from 6 pm – 8 pm in the Village Council Chambers at 2675 Dunsmuir Avenue in Cumberland. The open house is a drop-in event, and is intended to give participants the opportunity to understand Cumberland’s housing needs and the opportunities available develop affordable housing.
Participants will also be able to discuss what local government can do to support affordable housing, and the best approaches for working with housing agencies and service organizations that address affordable housing issues in BC.
There is also the opportunity to provide feedback online at www.cumberland.ca. Search “affordable housing”. Feedback accepted until September 26.
