Around Town: VIREB Installs New President and Board of Directors at AGM
Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) President Blair Herbert passed the gavel to Duncan REALTOR® Jason Finlayson, who will serve as president in 2015. Kaye Broens with RE/MAX of Nanaimo and Sandy Rantz of Coast Realty Group in Port Alberni joined the board as new members.
The Vancouver Island Real Estate Board elected its 2015 Board of Directors at its annual general meeting on February 27.
The rest of VIREB’s 2015 Board of Directors comprises returning members Cholene Begin, Frank Fairley, Margo Hoffman, Don McClintock, Janice Stromar, and Neil Woodrow. Blair Herbert will now serve as past president, while Margo Hoffman steps into her new role as VIREB’s 2015 President-Elect.
“Our new board is a group of talented and dedicated individuals who have a shared passion for strategic leadership and advancing professionalism in the real estate industry,” said VIREB Executive Officer Bill Benoit. “Our seasoned board members bring a wealth of experience to the table while our new members add freshness and vitality. VIREB represents nearly 940 REALTOR® members in approximately 90 member offices on Vancouver Island (north of Victoria).
