BC Hydro Civil Registration Program in Around Town
BC Hydro is launching their customer civil registration program with early registration now open. Effective September 1, BC Hydro suppliers will be required to hire a contractor who’s part of the registered civil contractor list for all construction of civil works on public or private property.
BC Hydro is implementing the program with the object of aligning all civil construction with BC Hydro distribution standards. Contractors can expect enhanced safety, efficiency and work quality. Lists are publicly available, and improve transparency. Other potential benefits include: streamlined project execution through reviewed contractors; faster final inspections for faster project completion; and reduced likelihood of needing costly rework.
