The Canadian Construction Association published their latest quarterly report in August. According to the report, despite a challenging economic climate marked by rising borrowing costs and market uncertainties, small and medium-size construction enterprises have demonstrated remarkable resilience to maintain stability in the marketplace.

BC Hydro Civil Registration Program in Around Town
BC Hydro is launching their customer civil registration program with early registration now open. Effective September 1, BC Hydro suppliers will be required to hire a contractor who’s part of the registered civil contractor list for all construction of civil works on public or private property.

The Bank of Canada is now less concerned about home prices spiking as it lowers the benchmark interest rate to 4.5%. The next interest rate decision is set for September 4.
