The BC government has ordered that there be no more than 50 people at any gathering. However, this order does not apply to the construction industry. Construction sites may continue to operate, providing parameters are put in place to keep workers safe.

- Comox Valley: North Island College has submitted a business case for final funding approval on their new $28 million Student Housing project.
- Powell River: A development permit for a four building, 22 residential complex has been approved.
- CFB Comox: Kinetic Construction has tender packages ready to release for the 1st phase of the upgrade of Hangar 7.
New Home Registry Report Around Town
According to the BC Housing New Home Registry statistics for Alberni-Clayoquot to North Island and Powell River, the number of newly registered homes and multi-units from January to December 2018 vs 2019 has increased by 23% (1210 vs 1585 units). Overall, a 31 unit decrease in single-family homes (sf) has been offset by 405 new multi-family units. Multi-family (mu) is described as any attached units, including Duplexes to Condominiums.
