Has the bubble just popped? The cyclical property market trend suggests that we have been due for a correction for some time. Closer to home, after strong sales figures in the single-family market in November and December, sales were off sharply for the month of January.

During the next ten years, the population in Courtenay is expected to grow by more than 15 percent to over 30,000. Courtenay’s Official Community Plan (OCP) is being reviewed to ask; Where will these people live and work and how will the growth be serviced in a cost-effective way? The OCP requires an update to ensure it meets current population projections and community values, while continuing to meet statutory requirements.
