Year to Date Permit Statistics Around Town

Compared to 2018, the 2019 year to date construction values for the Comox Valley and Campbell River have decreased by 1.14% ($2.4 million). Cumberland and Comox continue to show a decline in single-family and secondary dwellings with 48% and 37% respectively, while the Comox Valley Regional District recorded the regions largest increase at 9% (99 to 108).

Apartments under construction in Around Town

The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation recently released it’s second-quarter ‘under construction’ statistics.  While single-family homes construction remains fairly constant from last year, apartments under construction are increasing dramatically in the Comox Valley and Parksville.
