As of April 1, 2019, electronic versions of the National Building Code of Canada were made available at no cost and the changes eliminated the royalties B.C. pays to the federal government.

Seller’s market: 34 Island hotspots in Around Town

In B.C.’s currently lukewarm real estate sector, it’s easy to read the headlines and imagine it’s becoming a buyer’s market. But that’s not true of all areas. A REW.ca study of real estate activity from February to May 2019 looked at the sales-to-active-listings ratio (SAR) in each individual Vancouver Island neighbourhood, for all property types combined. A figure over 20 per cent indicates a seller’s market.
