As of July 29, the City of Campbell River is requiring all developers to meet with the city planners when submitting development applications.
(more…)Compared to 2018, the 2019 year-to-date construction values for the Comox Valley and Campbell River has decreased by 2.75%. Cumberland and Comox experienced a decline in single family and secondary dwellings with 41 and 46% respectively, while Campbell River was the only municipality to record an increase from 59 to 62 units (5%).
(more…)According to the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board’s (VIREB) June Statistics, 408 single-family homes sold on the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) System compared to 458 the previous month and 437 in June 2018. Sales of apartments dipped by 29 per cent year over year while townhouse sales decreased by 32 per cent.

The Campbell River condo market is especially brisk with the average sell time at 11 days for townhouses, 12 days for patio homes and 22 days for apartments.
With the plan for all of Canada to agree on a harmonized building code, the Government of Canada has granted funding to the National Research Council Canada (NRC) to provide free access to the National Building Codes.
