Campbell River dam safety upgrades meeting in Around Town

On May 6, join BC Hydro’s Stephen Watson, and Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce’s Mary Ruth Snyder, for an exclusive online project update on the upcoming proposed dam safety upgrades within the Campbell River hydroelectric system. Work may start in 2023.
The proposed projects, the John Hart Dam Seismic Upgrade Project, the Ladore Spillway Seismic Upgrade Project, and the Strathcona Dam Water Discharge Upgrade Project, represent a significant investment for the Campbell River community as well as significant job creation over six-years. In addition to the project overviews, the meeting will go over the schedule and procurement.
The Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce will then discuss the revitalized majorprojects.ca website that provides updates on the projects, a supplier, service and subcontractor directory, and when subcontractors may be able to engage with the lead contractors.
