The Comox Valley Regional District has posted opportunities for two Building Officials, including permanent full time for Level I or Official in-training and a temporary six month position for Building Official II or III.
Building Official I will be examining, processing, and checking building permit applications while working directly with the Manager and other certified building officials in gaining the experience and skills to progress through the Building Officials’ Association of B.C. (BOABC) certification levels.Â
The Building Official II or III conducts inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with the building bylaw and codes, and issues permits and assists the public with building, permit, and inspection matters.
