District of Tofino issues tender for Helleson Drive sanitary pump station
The District of Tofino invites contractors to submit sealed tenders for the Hellesen Drive sanitary pump station upgrades. The work includes the removal of the existing sewage pumps and appurtenances inside the pump station wet well. This tender closes January 26th; see our tender section for more information.
Detailed design for Greenwood Trunk sewer project in Courtenay underway
Detailed design for the Greenwood Trunk sewer project extending from the eastern boundary of the City of Courtenay near Greenwood Crescent and running southeast through Department of National Defence (DND) lands is underway. Construction tenders are expected to be issued in February or March of 2018. The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) awarded the tender for the detailed design to ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. in the amount of $128,115 in September. The estimated budget for this project is $2.94 million.
Tenders expected in February for upgrades to Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Centre
Detailed design for phase one upgrades to the Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Center (CVWPCC) have begun and the first construction tenders are expected in February of 2018. The upgrades are a result of a wastewater treatment capacity study investigating the current operating and hydraulic capacity of the CVWPCC and the Cape Lazo outfall.
