Tenders released for BC Transit operations and maintenance facility in Campbell River
The new $15 million BC Transit operations and maintenance facility in Campbell River will be divided into multiple tender packages including sewer, water, utilities, lighting, and construction. A tender for preloading closes February 22 and the remainder of project tenders are expected in May. See the tender section for more information.
Heritage Alteration permit submitted in Cumberland
A Heritage Alteration permit application has been submitted to the Village of Cumberland for a proposed four-storey building with commercial space on the ground floor and 26 residential units above. The commercial space will be available for lease and the residential suites are being built as rental units. The building will be located in the heritage section of Cumberland on Dunsmuir Avenue.
New five-storey project being proposed in Port Alberni
A new five-storey project is being proposed for Port Alberni. The proposal includes a new commercial space with four-storeys of multi-family residential at the former Fairway Market site. The City of Port Alberni’s Advisory Planning Commission has endorsed the development application and a public information meeting is scheduled on Thursday, February 15.
