A public hearing is being held on Wednesday, January 20th, at 7:00 pm at D’Esterre House, located at 1801 Beaufort Avenue for the proposed addition to the existing Berwick congregate care facility at 1666 Comox Avenue. The updated five-storey design requires a larger footprint to accommodate the proposed 34 additional assisted living residential units with a common use area on the ground floor. The design also gives provision for an ambulance station and onsite training facilities.
The architect is currently completing final design drawings for Phase I of the Comox Marina Revitalization project. It is expected drawings will be complete, with this phase ready for tender by the end of February. The design includes two pedestrian walkways from Beaufort Avenue to the marina park, a marina services building with washrooms, two multi-function buildings, and a third gangway to the public dock slights. The project budget is $1.89 million and includes landscaping and lighting.
The City of Campbell River is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide all necessary electrical engineering services to complete a phased delivery plan for the design, supply and installation of backup generators to the City’s lift stations along with contract administration services during the tendering and construction period.
