New four storey, 70 unit residential building planned for Campbell River
Campbell River council has approved a major development permit application for 525 Dogwood Street South. Seymour Pacific Development proposes to develop a four storey, 70 unit, multi-family residential building on the subject parcel which is located on the east side of Dogwood Street South directly south of the Merecroft Village commercial centre. This is Phase I of three phases.
Construction underway for 16 new townhouses on 8th Street in Campbell River
Construction has begun on the first of four identically designed multi-family buildings at 635 8th Street in Campbell River. Bentra Ventures Inc. expects to have the first building complete in October, and the rest of the units complete by the end of the year. These will be rental units approximately 1,200 sq. ft. in size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bentra Ventures was issued four building permits with a total value of $2 million for the project in June.
New 19 lot subdivision is proceeding in Comox
Comox town council has adopted a rezoning bylaw and approved the issuance of a development permit for 1182 Lazo Road. A proposed 19 lot single-family subdivision on four acres between Lazo Road and Forester Avenue in Comox may now proceed. The developer intends to build in this subdivision, with no lots available for sale, and is hopeful construction will begin in early October.
