St. Joseph’s in Comox issues tender for facility redevelopment
St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Comox has issued a tender to seek responses from architectural firms with proven experience and qualifications in the design of residential complex care facilities, assisted living facilities, and seniors independent living facilities. The project that is being contemplated is the complete redevelopment of the current St. Joseph’s Hospital site in Comox. The ideal firm will have a track record of working with not-for-profit societies. The tender closes on July 20.
CVRD requests quotations for emergency response route
The Comox Valley Regional District is requesting quotations from contractors for the construction of an emergency response route in the Comox Valley. There will be a mandatory site meeting at 10 am on Thursday, July 21 on Lory Road. The CVRD will review the project at the meeting. This tender closes July 28. Port Hardy presents tentative plans for new swimming complex
Tentative plans for the District of Port Hardy’s new swimming complex were presented during meetings last week. A referendum will be held on October 22 in conjunction with the by-election, and if successful the district will apply for grant funding. A new building could be constructed in the adjacent parking area; the estimated budget for this project is $10.5 million.
