35-unit affordable housing unit receives permit in Courtenay
City staff have approved a Development Permit with variances to permit the construction of 35-unit affordable housing building at 810 Braidwood Street in Courtenay. As proposed, project partner M’akola Development Services will build a 3-storey multi-residential development that will include a mix of studio and one-bedroom units, two accessible units and a live- in manager suite.
Powell River issues tender to shortlisted candidates for Consolidated Wastewater Treatment Plant
A Responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for qualified engineering firms to carry out the Pre-design, Detail Design and Tender Documents for a new greenfield Consolidated Wastewater Treatment Plant and related pumping and conveyance infrastructure is now closed, and an invitation-only tender has been issued to four shortlisted candidates. That tender, issued by the City of Powell Rive is expected to close in late June.
RFP issued by VIHA for aerodrome consultants on Tofino Hospital Heliport Upgrade project
Vancouver Island Health Authority has issued a Request for Proposals for aerodrome consultants to act as the prime consultant on all stages of the Tofino Hospital Heliport Upgrade project including design, construction documents, tendering, construction and commissioning. Heliports located in built-up areas are required to be certified and registered under Transport Canada regulations and standards. This tender closes on June 28.
