A building permit has been approved and issued this week in the amount of $2 million for the expansion and renovation of the Strathcona Toyota building. The building area will be increased from 14,640 sq. ft. to 18,325 sq. ft., with the addition wrapping around the west side of the building.
Application submitted for Riverwalk building permit in Courtenay
An application for a building permit has been submitted for the building known as Riverwalk. This building will include 16 condominiums and 14,000 sq. ft. of commercial space on the main floor of the building. The commercial space is available for sale or to lease. It is hoped that construction will start in the summer, once the building permit has been issued.

A new project is proposed for a 24 unit townhouse project, to be located at the corner of Lerwick Road and Idiens Way in Courtenay. This project will be built as rental units.
