New 25 unit development proceeding on Soderholm Road in Campbell River
A Major Development Permit for the construction of a 25 unit multi-family development consisting of five individual buildings and associated parking and landscaping was presented to Campbell River council on March 11 and received approval subject to the receipt of a performance security for landscaping. The project is located in the Willow Point neighbourhood of the City, between Soderholm Road, Erickson Road and Harrogate Road.
A 46 unit multi-family building to be built as rental apartments at Tyee Plaza in Campbell River
The application for a Major Development Permit at 1299 Shoppers Row in Campbell River, was approved this week by council. The proposal involved the demolition of the long vacant Super-Valu grocery store and adjacent commercial building within the Tyee Plaza shopping centre. The existing buildings were completely removed and will be replaced with a four story, 46 unit multi-family building that will be built as rental apartments.
A recommendation to award contract for Hornby Island Fire Hall will be confirmed on March 24
Comox Valley Regional District staff are recommending that a contract be awarded to Island West Coast Developments Ltd. for the Hornby Island fire hall construction project in an amount up to $2,175,526 plus applicable taxes, pending final adoption of the financial plan bylaw at the March 24 board meeting.
