Berwick seeks EOI from sub-trades for addition
The application to expand the Berwick Retirement Facility in Comox has received third reading from council and final approval is expected in the next 4-5 weeks. The owner is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) with regards to the construction of the project. The EOI closes on March 15, see our tender section for more information. The addition will be approximately 32,000 sq. ft. in size and the construction of residential units will be done in accordance with sound attenuation standards and LEED Silver or an equivalent construction standard.
KFN and Courtenay working on water and sewer servicing agreement
City of Courtenay staff are currently working on a water and sewer servicing agreement for Indian Reserve 2 (IR2), and it is hoped details of the agreement will be complete by mid-March. K’ómoks First Nation (KFN) has invited all elected officials in the Comox Valley to a community-to-community forum on March 17, where it is likely the agreement will be discussed.
Three bids received for Building No. 22 at 19 Wing Comox
Defence Construction Canada has received three bids for Building No. 22 Fire Restoration ranging in value from $641,150 to $794,400. The bidders are Saywell Developments Ltd., CMF Construction Ltd., and Seafirst Construction Corp. The estimated cost for this project is $690,000.
