New seniors centre proposed on Cliffe Avenue and 29th Street in Courtenay
A new seniors housing complex is being proposed at the intersection of Cliffe Avenue and 29th Street in Courtenay. The design includes approximately 78 independent living units in a four storey building and a two storey building with a 76 bed assisted care facility. The applicants are proposing to rezone two properties currently zoned commercial (C-2) to multi- residential (R-4A) and to add care facility and complimentary uses as permitted uses in the R-4A zone.

Site preparation is underway for a new residential project called Liberty Green in Campbell River. A building permit application has been made for the construction of a 25 unit multi-family development consisting of five individual buildings that are being built for rental accommodation.
CVRD seeking industry input on proposed changes in the DCC bylaws
The CVRD is updating development cost charges (DCC’s) for water and sewer systems and is seeking input from the development and construction industry. The public meeting will be held on Thursday, May 25 in the CVRD boardroom. The presentation will begin at 3:15 pm.
