Bid results for new Water Treatment Building located at the John Hart Lake expected on Nov. 21
An invitation-only tender to qualifying general contractors and sub-contractors for the City of Campbell River’s new Water Treatment Building located at the John Hart Lake is now closed and bids are under review. A recommendation of award is expected to be presented to council on November 21. Construction of the water treatment and pump station is expected to take one year.
Finneron Hyundai in Courtenay has announced plans for a possible new dealership
Finneron Hyundai has announced plans for a possible new dealership on their current property. The proposal has been submitted to the Hyundai board for approval, and the dealership hopes to have a decision by the end of November. If approved, the new building would be built on the south end of the Courtenay property beginning in the summer of 2017.
New designs for Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds will be presented at a public open house is scheduled for November 3
The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is preparing a Master Plan for the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds, which plays an important factor in the agricultural community. A public open house is scheduled for November 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Florence Filberg Centre (Rotary Hall) in Courtenay. There will be a short presentation and an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions and provide input to the project.
