Berwick By the Sea wins CARE award for Campbell River retirement home
Construction Achievements and Renovations of Excellence (CARE) Awards of Vancouver Island were announced on October 17.  More than 50 awards were presented at the CARE Awards attended by 275 builders, renovators, designers, trades and suppliers. The  Gold Award for the Winning Project of the Year for Multi-Family was given to Berwick By the Sea, the Retirement Community in Campbell River built  by Denford Construction Management Ltd, a multiple Gold winner.  For more information, go to: www.careawards.ca.
Development permit expected for apartment building at Tyee Plaza in Campbell River
A development permit application is expected to be submitted soon for a new project located at the Tyee Plaza in Campbell River. A four-storey apartment building is being proposed for this site. The rental market will be targeted towards people 55 years of age and older. If this project is approved, the existing Super Valu building on the site will be demolished.
CVEXÂ seeks proposals for fundraising campaign for new awareness centre
Comox Valley Exhibition Association Fall Fair (CVEX) is seeking proposals to manage and conduct a capital campaign needed to raise money for the Comox Valley Agricultural Awareness Centre (AAC).The proposed Comox Valley Agricultural Awareness Center (AAC) will be located within the 44 acre Comox Valley Exhibition Fairgrounds, located just north of Courtenay. The size of the building is approximately 9,000 sq. ft.
