“The view is incredible from every direction,” states Mary Ann. “It’s also quiet, and you have all the amenities of town without being in town. But really, it’s the view. Everyone who comes up here takes a look around and says, Oh, wow!”
The Ridge is the newest residential development for Lawmar Contracting, which has been building custom homes for sale in the Comox Valley for more than 25 years. Lawrie is a third generation carpenter (after his dad and grandfather) and together Lawrie and Mary Ann bring years of experience to their business.
“We enjoy educating our clients on the process of building a custom home, whether it’s the building code, what happens if you put a skylight here, and what works and what doesn’t,” says Mary Ann.
That helpful attitude has earned Lawmar Contracting a reputation as premier custom home builder.
“We had a client ask about installing hardwood floors in the garage,” recalls Mary Ann. “His wife just looked at him like he was crazy. I figure if someone wants to ask, we will help them. And no, they did not install hardwood in the garage.”

“We have met a bunch of great people along the way, and made some great friends,” says Mary Ann. “It’s great to be able to shape this new neighbourhood, and share the tranquility of this place with people.”
