New Connector Road Across Tsolum River in Planning Stage
A new connector road extending from Veterans Memorial Parkway towards and across the Tsolum River via a new bridge is in the planning stages, and the potential route and likely costs of the project are currently under review. The section of road being studied runs from the old Island Highway at its intersection with Veterans Memorial Parkway to the junction of Dove Creek Road with Piercy Road on the west side of the Tsolum River.
Tender Issued for Building Site Work at Campbell River Air Tanker Operations Base
Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations has issued a tender for the alteration of existing site, including service disconnects; demolition and debris removal; and salvage and onsite relocation with block foundation for temporary storage of an existing two-wide modular building structure for future removal from the Campbell River Air Tanker Operations Base. Construction Drawings Underway for New K’ómoks First Nation Administration Building
Architect Martin Hagarty is in the process of completing construction drawings for a two-storey structure that will be the new administration building for the K’ómoks First Nation. The drawings are expected to be completed in January or February, and construction is expected to begin soon afterwards.
