Tender Awarded for Construction of Main Distribution Frame Building at CFB Comox
Defence Construction Canada received nine responses to a tender for the construction of a main distribution frame building at CFB Comox. The bids ranged from $1,622,330 to $1,955,000. The low bidder for this project was Island West Coast Developments Ltd., and they have been awarded the contract.
City of Courtenay Awards Tender for Work on 5th Street, Menzies Avenue, and 4th Street
The City of Courtenay has awarded the tender for the construction of road works, water works, and storm sewer on 5th Street, Menzies Avenue, and 4th Street in Courtenay to IWC Excavation Ltd. Work is expected to begin in the next few weeks.
BC Hydro Reviewing Bids for Construction Work on Buckley Bay and South Wellington Electricity Substations
BC Hydro is reviewing the bids submitted in response to the tender issued for civil, electrical, protection and control, and distribution construction for the Buckley Bay and South Wellington electricity substations. The tender closed on September 4, 2013, and is expected to be awarded in the next two to three weeks. Construction for each project is estimated to cost between $28 and $30 million.
