Tender Issued to Build a New Day Care Facility at CFB Comox

Defence Construction Canada (DCC) has issued a tender to build a new day care facility at CFB Comox. The work includes the supply of labour, material, supervision, and equipment necessary to construct the facility. The estimated budget for this project is $800,000; the tender closes on September 19, 2013.
Construction has started on Powell River’s new residential complex care facility, Willingdon Creek Village. The contract for this project has been awarded to Lark Group of Surrey, BC. The $26.5 million project is expected to be completed in early 2015.
A building permit has been issued in the amount of $600,000 for the new Tim Hortons building in Courtenay; construction is expected to begin this week. An opening date is scheduled for December 13, 2013.
Tim Hortons has started construction for a small restaurant on the corner of 10th Avenue and Redford Street in Port Alberni. The new Tim Hortons building will include a small take-out and drive-through facility on the lot formerly occupied by a Shell gas station and car wash.
