The City of Courtenay recently approved a development permit application for a proposed mixed commercial-residential project with 30 units on the site of the Whistle Stop Pub.

Courtenay: Development Permit approved for 30 condominiums above the Whistle Stop Pub. 

Courtenay City Council recenty approved two development permit applications. One permit is for a proposed single storey, 568 sq.m. multi-tenant commercial building on Cliffe Avenue. The second is for a five-storey building with 30 condominiums, underground parking and a new Whistle Stop pub and liquor store.

Campbell River: 72 single family lots and 7 fourplexes near Walworth Road.

Two developments near Walworth Road in Campbell River include 72 single family lots and seven fourplexes. The applicants have submitted plans to develop the Walworth Road corridor for both projects.

Powell River: Public hearing next week for a two building, 141 rental unit project.

A 141 rental unit, two building project in Powell River has received second reading with a public hearing next week. A proposed, the units will consist micro (under 400 sq.ft), studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The applicant is hoping to start construction by the end of 2021.
