The Province will be spending $6 million to expand the Port Alberni hospital. A request for proposals for a Construction Manager has been issued. The redevelopment will include a 2,626 sq. ft, expansion, as well as improvements to the existing emergency department space.Â

The Wachiay Friendship Centre Society in Courtenay is proposing a new five-storey apartment building with 40 units and an indoor cultural gathering space for Indigenous Elders and singles. The Society is proposing to redevelop its parking lot for the project.
Campbell River: Habitat for Humanity is proposing to build 20 new townhomes.Â
Habitat for Humanity in Campbell River is proposing to build 20 new townhomes beside their previous 11 townhome project on Hilchey Road. The 1 acre property currently has a single family home and will need to be rezoned.
