- 28-day payment: Owners must pay contractors within 28 days of a “proper invoice”.
- 7-day flow-down: Subcontractors must be paid within 7 days of the contractor receiving payment.
- Adjudication: A new, fast-track, interim binding adjudication process for disputes, aiming for resolution in weeks rather than years.
The legislation will apply to new contracts, with the official coming-into-force date to be set by future government regulations.
