Clean BC’s Energy Savings Program is offering two new rebates to condo owners and apartment renters.

Based on household income, the rebate will cover up to $5,000 to help switch to an electric heat pump and will permit $3,500 for a heat pump water heater. Upgrades must be installed by an program registered contractor, and heat pumps must be on the BC Hydro qualified product list and heat pump water heaters must be on the qualified product list (Tier 2, 3, or 4).
Applicants must also be B.C. citizens who live in an eligible home and have residential utility accounts. Rebate coverage is based on the combined income of all adults in your home and how many people live in your home, including adults and children.
Clean BC has other rebates available, up to $44,000, including heat pumps, electrical service upgrades, insulation, windows and doors, and ventilation.
